document.writeln('March 21, 2009<h2>SECAC Academic Leadership Development Program</h2><b>Auburn University Invites Applications for Appointments as Fellows in the SECAC Academic Leadership Development Program (ALDP) 2009-2010.</b><p><h3>Purpose</h3>The Academic Leadership Development Program (ALDP) was developed by the Southeastern Conference Academic Consortium (SECAC) to prepare interested faculty for the challenges they will face if placed in an administrative role. Additionally, it is designed to build academic leadership within the SEC universities. SECAC has determined that there is a need for future leadership and the organization wants to help train interested faculty/administrators for the future challenges of academic leadership.  The ALDP seeks to address this need in part through the appointment of ALDP Fellows.<p><h3>Eligibility</h3>\r\n \r\nAll Auburn University tenured faculty members who have demonstrated the desire to move from a faculty position to administration through service in a position such as graduate program officer, program chair, department head/chair, assistant or associate dean, etc.\r\n \r\n<h3>Expectations of Auburn University ALDP Fellows</h3>\r\n<ul><li>\r\nAttend all ALDP workshops; costs of attendance will be defrayed by Auburn University\r\n<li>Prepare in advance for workshops by reading preparatory material and then actively participating in the workshop\r\n<li>Serve on the selection committee for the 2010-2011 ALDP Fellows\r\n<li>Serve as mentors to the 2010-2011 ALDP Fellows\r\n</ul>\r\n<h3>ALDP Workshops</h3>\r\n \r\nTwo ALDP workshops will be offered in 2009-2010.  The first workshop in October will be hosted by the University of Mississippi and the February 20010 workshop will be hosted by the University of Alabama.
